Love Thy Neighbor FL is a NON-PROFIT (501 C3) organization that offers support and services to families who are going through cancer or are veterans that need assistance with getting their house cleaned.

The Why

The founder of Maid To Order, Joanne Braccio, unfortunately knew how a cancer diagnosis can change a family. When her veteran brother contracted cancer, she saw a gap in the community for support. He did pass away from cancer and it inspired her to help other families out there. We strive to help families know they are not alone.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple, we want to help those in need. We understand how a diagnosis can change your entire world, we want to make one thing easier for you. We offer help to our “Neighbors in Need” and to make the lives of our neighbors easier by shouldering the burden of daily life.

How else do we help?

This community has been so amazing and therefore, we have been able to help in additional ways. Joanne has set up a pantry for those who are in need of food. So many pantries out there only offer shelf stable food, but Joanne strives to provide access to fresh food as well. She personally goes out and picks up donations from all over the area to ensure people are getting healthy food. Everyone deserves access to food that fuels them and is fresh.

Around 62% of Pinellas county is below the federal poverty line, and while programs such as SNAP do exist, there’s a gap in people able to get healthy, nutritious food. Many people feel judged by the stigma of a food pantry. There is no judgment here. You will fill out paperwork to prove you’re local, and a volunteer hands you a bag. You can decide what items you need for your family. We are not affiliated with any religious organization, so you do not feel the pressure of joining any organization.

Love Thy Neighbor FL Thrift Store

She also recently opened the Love Thy Neighbor FL Thrift Store. This store helps to provide affordable home goods, clothes, and other items to the community. Proceeds go back into the community through the Love Thy Neighbor FL non profit.

Donations:

Donations help us tremendously. We can accept clothing items, household goods, toiletries and food items. Please reach out to our office and we will put you in touch with a volunteer to coordinate the drop off.
